And If We Look Down Here, What Do You Think We'll Find? [Teachers]

Aldrich believed that a stroll in the grounds upon a clear morning was not an unreasonable request to make; one without students bothering him or monstorous man eating plants from the greenhouses trying to eat him. A nice walk was healthy; it lowered his blood pressure, lightly exerscised his muscles and reduced stress. The clean country air from around Hogwarts cleared his lungs, and he breathed the sweet air in. He loved the country, it reminded him of the elfish community where he grew up and the stately home of his birth.

A rabbit ran past him and he darted around, watching it and stalking it with his eyes until it dissapeared in to the undergrowth. They were adorable, but he would never admit it outloud. He started to walk off towards the rickety old bridge and he noticed Aleta, starting to wave. Then, suddenly, she dissapeared. But people couldn't just dissapear. Well, they could apperate, but you can't do that within Hogwarts.

He rushed forward to see what was happening and saw her tumble down the hill. She landed and bit his lip worriedly, "Are you okay?" He asked, and she didn't seem to be hurt, she was brushing herself off and checking for cuts. He started to follow her down carefully, dodging the brambles.

"Miss Aleta, are you hurt at all?" He asked concernedly.

Emese was running out of breath. Sure, her morning jogs were enough to keep her in shape, but they didn't give enough stamina for this! If someone told her she would be chasing an angry Hippogriff around after her lessons, she would have laughed them in the face. She would have told them that no sane person would ever attempt doing that. But Fate just had to come and bit her in the ass.

So there she was, running after a Hippogriff. She couldn't help but curse her luck it was it's wing which was injured. It would have been so much easier if it couldn't run. Although, with an injured leg it would probably fly away...and Emese had never been fond of flying. She lost sight of the creature in another bend. She could see the old bridge that connected the school with the pathway to the ground keeper's hut in the distance. She cursed under her breath. An injured Hippogriff getting near the castle was very dangerous.

She cursed again. Why did stunning spells have to be inneffective on Hippogriffs?! She tried to run faster but couldn't. Her side was already hurting and she was panting for air. Curse Hippogriffs for being so fast! After the bend she could see the Hippogriff again. She could also see two people, a male and a femlae if she was right, standing in its path. Her eyes widened in terror. No student could escape from an enraged Hippogriff unharmed!

"You two! Get out of the way! Quick!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. She hadn't been here for a week, she wasn't going to get fired because of this!

Aldrich sighed in relief. “I’m glad. I suppose you’re made of strong stuff,” He said, finally making his way over to her. He was about to hug her and ask her how she was when suddenly there was shouting and Aleta had grabbed him. For a split second he knew what was happening – he believed that there was an angry hippogriph making its way towards them and Aleta had pulled them out of the way.

Then, there was just pain as something very hard went very roughly and very fast in to his bad leg, right bang in to the wound. He cried out in pain as it started to throb, exploding back in to pain. He spat out a string of filthy swears in German in response, grinding his teeth. “I’m…” he stuttered out, “Fine. Ish. Pain.” He groaned.

He felt Aleta cast a pain numbing charm on his leg, which, while it didn’t work completely, did help take the sting off it, so it was only a dull throb. “Thank you…” He said, trying to work out what had happened, “Where’s the hippogriph?” He asked. “And was that Emese?” Remebering hearing a woman shouting. He didn’t know the Care of Magical creatures teacher very well, but he knew her a bit, enough to be on first name terms.

She had had enough of that stupid thing. If it wasn't about to slow down and let itself get treated, Emese was going to slow it down herself. She sent a blasting curse around 100 meters ahead, blocking the injured animals way succesfully. She sighed in relief. None of the falling rock hit the poor thing. She quickly conjured up some ropes around its legs, making it fall to the grown with an angry screech as it fall on its injured wing. She was going to have to take care of that quickly.

She walked back to the two figures, recognising them as teachers, not students. "Are you two alright?" She asked worriedly. Aldrich was on the ground, did that mean the hippogriff injured him? But there was no blood and hippogriffs only used their claws and rarely their beaks to injure.

She had a sudden flash of recognition. The blonde teacher had a cane, right? Maybe he had his leg injured previously and he fell on his leg while trying to get out of the angry creature's way. So it was technically her fault. "I'm really sorry, I should have been much more careful while handling the hippogriff."

He winced, groaning. "I'm alright. Or well..." he chuckled sarcastically, "I will be." He had found that there was no use in crying or screaming when he was pained for him. He prefered to laugh at himself becaise it lestened the extent of the pain and lestened the weakness displayed by being in pain. perhaps it wasn't very healthy but he never did anything differently.

He groaned, shakily putting his arms behind him to prop himself up. "Ah, I thought it was." His leg may have been numb at that time, meaning that he couldn't feel any more pain, but his body was still trying to recover from the shock of the pain. His heart was beating fast in fear and shock but his breathing was much too shallow and so he was feeling a little light-headed.

"It's fine, Miss Héderváry" He insisted. "I've had worse. Look in the bright side, I merely fell, I wasn't gored by a hippogriph." He joked lightly, "They're tricky creatures, you caught it now before it did hurt someone, don't worry." He gave her a smile, still shaking somewhat.
