Liona was bored. It was a break between classes, and she didn't has anything to do. Hufflepuff didn't has any friends which she could hang out with, and staying in the common room bored her. Wandering around school, she noticed that she had ended up to staircases. Yes, those famous, moving staircases. Italian had never understood the idea of the stairways. Why they had to be moving? They were just hard to use that way.

Girl didn't often visit upstairs. Hufflepuff common room, kitchen, grand hall and grounds are all located downstairs, so Liona actually goes up only for classes. This time reason for using the stairs and going up is pure curiosity. With big, but tentative steps Italian steps to stairs. They aren't moving, and determinedly brunette keeps walking up.

Right before she steps to new platform, the stairs starts moving. Losing her balance, Liona falls few steps before, what causes girl to fell, and she hits her head. Feeling pain in her occipital, she stands up. 'Ouch. my head...' thought Italian, touching the place which hurts the most. Staircases have moved to new platform, and with no special target hufflepuff decides that this is good place to be. At least she doesn't have to be in the stairs anymore.

With unsure steps, she enters the new floor. Her head doesn't hurt so much anymore, but girl is sure that the hit will leave a mark on her head. Fallen to her thoughts, Liona doesn't notice that she's walking directly towards unknown boy.

It was a right pain in his ass, being forced to stay after class to discuss things with the professor. He didn't even care that she thought he had some kind of potential in Divination - though he was lying; the fact that she thought so did fill him with a kind of warmth - he just hated having to climb down all of these fucking stairs later than everyone else, especially when he had a class to get to.

Sighing, he quickly walked down the stair to get to the next floor. Lovino had almost reached the stairs leading to the floor below that when they moved, forcing him to either jump down who knows how many floors or find another staircase to use. Considering he had no broom and did not possess the ability to fly, he wouldn't be going with the first option.

He scowled and started walking, muttering darkly under his breath and not watching where he was going at all. Which was why he managed to run in to some girl. Catching himself just before he fell over and holding on to her to make sure she didn't fall over as well, his scowl melted away into a concerned frown. "Are you okay bella?"

Taking a moment to look her over, Lovino paused and frowned deeply. She looked like Feliciano to him, only obviously female and definitely darker in color than his brother. And taking in the hair curl - which he had thought belonged only to the Vargas family - and it's position... She could almost be considered a female clone of himself. A scary thought to be sure, though it was nice to know he would be sexy if he ever turned into a girl.

When Liona had finally noticed the boy, it was already too late. Thankfully, other had held on her so she would not fall. But it was embarrassing anyway, and girl could feel how she was blushing slowly.

"Thank you, I'm okay." she answered to the boy. 'He said bella, is he Italian...?' thought hufflepuff, continuing 'Though, many girls are named Bella, maybe he was just mistaken...' Brunette lifted her head to see other one better.

Boy was wearing slyherin robes, what - of course - proved him to be a slytherin. That certain slyherin was a bit taller than Liona, so she had to look a bit upward. Boy had brown hair, with curly cowlick sticking up. 'A curl like mine...maybe he's one of the boy's that the albino one mentioned. That would mean that he is my relative.'

Brunette glanced to boy's eyes, and noticed that he was also staring at her. Eyes were green, like hers. It was like she was staring at her twin. Both were silent, just staring at each other. That was a weird moment.

Lovino snapped out of his trance as she spoke, coughing slightly to hide his embarrassment over staring. Plus, he had been caught staring; not the best situation in the world. "That's good." He pulled away from her once he was sure she could stand on her own, rubbing the back of his neck.

Looking her over again, the Italian scowled. "What's your name bella?" Just because she might be his long-lost twin didn't mean he had to stop complimenting her. It was a little narcissitc, yes, but he wasn't going to deny that she was pretty.

He adjusted his books and just accepted that he was more than likely going to be late for his next class. He could always blame the Divination teacher; her tower was located far enough away that being held back for a talk could easily make him late.

When other turned his eyes away from Liona, she quickly turned his face away. Somehow, when the boy stopped staring, it broke the atmosphere of the moment, and caused girl to understand how stupid she had been. 'Staring him like that, what did I thought?' scolding herself, she also remembered that the other had stared, too. 'Well, he isn't any better.' Then, the "not any better" asked for her name.

Brunette girl wasn't prepared for that, even if she deep down wanted to know the slytherin's name. It wasn't very common to ask someone's name, someone's who just bumped into you. At least it wasn't very common from Liona. In middle of this wondering she remembered that she should answer the boy. It took a moment to get grip of herself, but after that she answered, sounding somewhat sure about it.

"I'm Liona, Liona Vargas." she said, still wondering. 'Why is he even interasted about my name. This is the first time we even meet! It's not like were friends or anything. Not like we ever will be friends...' Boy was quite good-looking though, hufflepuff had to admit it. 'Maybe I should ask for his name, too. But that doesn't mean that I'm interested of him.' she told to herself, and opened her mouth.

"What about yourself?" she asked, waiting other to answer.

While he waited - somewhat impatiently - for the girl to answer his question, Lovino took the time to look her over, mentally comparing the two of them and not coming up with enough differences for his liking. Ignoring the things that were there simply because she was female, the two of them really could have been twins. It was very disturbing and he didn't approve of the fact that there was someone else who looked so much like him, if he ignored Romulus.

He blinked as she finally answered, not having actually expected that and telling himself that it was terribly rude of himself to get lost in his thoughts like that when he was waiting for someone to answer a question he asked. Lovino frowned, nodding slightly. He had expected that, unfortunately. There was no way anyone other than a Vargas could look so much like him, it just wasn't powerful. "A pretty name for a pretty girl. Fitting."

Tilting his head in a faint acknowledgement of her question, he wondered if he should tell her the truth. She would of course figure it out eventually, but did he want to shock her today? Deciding it was best to be honest with this girl, he gave her his real name. "Lovino Vargas."

Answer didn't surprise Liona, even if it maybe should. After all, she and that boy looked so similar, that it would be a bigger surprise if they weren't related. It was interesting, though, that both of them had been asked to be exchange students at this school. They, from all of the young magicians in Italy.

Hufflepuff didn't know her family very well anyway. After her mother's death she had met, like, two of her relatives. Dad was so busy that he hadn't time to meet them, and some from the family were ashamed about him and they didn't want to see him, because he had married a muggle woman. Maybe, and probably, this boy hasn't heard about her neither. It was kind of confusing, to meet someone related to her, who she had never met before, in here. Here, from all of the places.

"Well, nice to meet you, I guess..." Liona started awkwardly, without knowing how to react. The slytherin's expression didn't tell very much, but she bet that he was surprised too.

Suddenly, brunette felt pain in her head. She had already forgotten that she had hit her head. For a moment the pain had eased, probably because the surprise meeting. Now the pain was even worser. Italian felt likes he could black out any moment. Yet still, she tried her best to be able to stand on her both feet. 'I can't faint now... Not now.' With power of determination, she tried to look as normal as she could.

Lovino was still wondering just how they were related when he noticed the girl - Liona - pale and weave slightly from side to side. "What's wrong with you?" Could he have been more polite about answering that question? Yes, but he didn't need to be. After all, he got the feeling that they were close enough in temperament, which meant that she was probably used to people being a bit rude to her.

He frowned as she weaved again, looking her over carefully. He may have only just met her, but she was family and the one thing Lovino cared about more than potions was family. Even if he had a strange sadistic way of showing it. He hesitated slightly before putting his hand on her shoulder to keep her steady. "Maybe you should go to the nurse." Not that he trusted that old windbag but, she knew what she was doing sometimes.

Stepping a bit closer, he noticed something dark moving its way slowly down her neck. Frowning and narrowing his eyes, he brushed his finger against it and shuddered at both the red cast to his finger when he pulled it away and the smear left on her neck. "You're bleeding bella."

[ sorry for being so late ; _ ; having kind of writer's block lately ]

Liona’s headache was just getting worse. It was horrible – not only because it hurt like hell – but also because she had just met her distant relative (who happens to look like her lost twin) and yet she was acting like an idiot. All because that stupid fact she happened to hit her head on those stupid moving staircases. Could the moment get any worse?

Seemed that it could. Now the boy had noticed that she wasn’t feeling very well. Liona tried to convince that she was fine, even though she was completely opposite. “I-I’m feeling well” she said weakly, and knew that the boy wasn’t going to believe her.

The slytherin came closer, and girl could feel his breathe in her face. In any other situation she would push anyone who came so close away, but right now she was feeling too bad to care. “G-go away…” she tried, but honestly she just wanted someone to be there. It felt safer that way. Boy touched her neck. Liona liked the way how his warm hand felt. He quickly took it away. “You’re bleeding.” he said, and hufflepuff shuddered. “I-I am what?” she said, touching her neck. There, she felt something sticky. When she took her hand away, she saw something red on them.

This day was absolutely going to be horrible.

Instead of letting her come to terms with the fact that her head was bleeding, Lovino started quickly moving her down the hall, wanting to get her to the hospital wing as quickly as possible. He himself had no trust in the nurse and no desire to let the nurse help him with anything at all, but she knew what she was doing and Lovino didn't trust his own ability to heal people other than himself.

Ignoring any protests she gave him, Lovino watched her to make sure she was capable of walking all the way to the hospital wing. He could carry her, but he really didn't want to when there was the possibility of blood getting on him. And yes, he was a bit of a baby when it came to blood; tough luck for Liona really.

"How are you feeling?" He was determined to figure out just how she was feeling - and, more importantly, what caused the blood - before they got to the nurse because it would just make things easier on all of them when they got there because then they wouldn't have to make the patient describe the pain. Lovino pulled out a handkerchief and pressed it to Liona's neck to clean up the blood, really not liking the way it was slowly creepy down over her skin and staining it.

"I - my head hurts like hell, but otherwise I'm fine...it feels a bit dizzy." answered hufflepuff honestly. She surprised herself by noticing how sincerely she could talk to the boy. She glanced at the other Italian. Even though she had already noticed that he was a slytherin, only now she started to think about it. Slytherins weren't known from helping other people, but yet this one was helping her. Maybe it was just because they were related, or maybe he was just different.

Liona didn't know, but he was grateful that the other one was there for her. Leaning towards the boy, brunette closed her eyes. Boy was warm, and brunette could feel his heart beating. Being hurt wasn’t nice, but at least there was someone else. She didn’t even want to know what would it be like if she was all alone. Maybe she would had already blacked off in some corner, and no one would ever find her, and she would die, and, and… Slightly panicking, she opened her eyes, just to notice there wasn’t any danger.

The boy was looking at her, and hufflepuff blushed. It was rather embarrassing that she almost fell asleep, while leaning to the boy. Touching her head, Liona noticed that the blood didn’t flow anymore. But despite that, the headache hadn’t got any better. She sighed, and prayed that it’ll be better.

Nodding faintly, Lovino carefully guided her down one of the staircases. Thankfully one that didn't move, but he still made sure to watch her in case she took a wrong step and started tumbling down the stairs. That would be terrible and - unfortunately for him - people might even accuse him of having pushed her. Lovino knew of no reason why someone would think he would push a girl down the stairs, but he had been accused of worse things in the past and wouldn't hold it against anyone now.

He stopped and looked down at her as she leaned against him, his eyebrows raising slightly. He found it both worrying and slightly adorable that this girl had decided to use him as a bed. Wrapping an arm around her to keep her upright, he looked down the stairs and mentally ran through what they would have to do to get to the hospital wing. Lovino cringed, knowing that it would be easier to carry her than to guide her. On the other hand, there was the possibility that she was like him and if he tried to carry her he would get bitten for his efforts.

Tensing as Liona opened her eyes and moved around, he looked down at her again. Smirking faintly as she blushed, he shook his head. "It'll be quicker to carry you to the hospital wing. Would you be upset if I did that?" He asked, already prepared to pick her up. She didn't look like she was that heavy, and he didn't have a lot of stairs to go down, only a few.

“Well, what do you think!” she almost shouted. No one was going to carry her; she could stand on her own two feet. Liona quickly stood up, to prove that she could walk by her own. But seemed that she had did it a bit too quickly, because when she stood up her head started instantly to hurt and she saw little colorful dots. To prevent a blackout brunette sat down.

“Damn…” Italian cursed under her breath. It was quite obvious that she just couldn’t stand on her own. And she could walk even less. “Fuck this…” hufflepuff whispered to herself, and then speaking to other one. “Carry me then, dammit… But it’s not like I want you to, I just…” she muttered, blushing slightly.

How could she look so damn weak? Well, it couldn’t be helped, could it? She had always been like this. She couldn’t do anything right. She was fucking clumsy. That’s the original reason why she was hurt, after all. Her damn sister was always better than her. And finally, finally when she had met someone who maybe could understand her she had messed everything up.

Quick stare to the slytherin told that he was soon going to pick her up. Preparing for that, Liona banished all the negative thoughts from her mind and gathered her little by little returning powers.

Lovino rolled his eyes, giving her a look. "Well sorry for giving a damn Miss. Vargas. I'll make sure not to do that next time." And he was being to the poor girl. Though to be fair, she had taken his kind offer and shouted at him in response. So she deserved it. At least, in his mind she did and that was all that mattered. He then helped steady her as she stood up and almost immediately swayed violently, trying to make sure she wouldn't fall and hit her head again.

He stood there awkwardly after that, watching her have a small little breakdown. And Lovino felt sorry for her at the point, knowing how it felt to be so helpless in front of someone else and being near tears in embarrassment. Coughing and looking down at his feet to try to give her as much privacy as he could in that moment, he watched Liona out of the corner of his eyes to see when she was ready.

Lovino nodded when she consented to him carrying her, picking up her bag. "Want me to carry you in my arms or on my back?" Because the second was definitely less embarrassing and he would rather have her do that. But some people liked being carried in someone else's arms, and she might be one of them. He doubted it, but he was going to check any way.
