Directions, Please and Thank You. [Dominik]

Sometimes Dominik wished he was sorted into a house that had a common room and dorms closer to places that he actually frequented. The truth of the matter was that he probably would find something to complain to himself about no matter what the location, but he wouldn't acknowledge that to himself. This was the time of day that he didn't feel like carrying around so many unnecessary books and wanted to drop them off and exchange them for new ones on the little break in the day he had. It didn't help that Dominik was rather fond of carrying around at least one book for free reading when he was utterly bored out of his mind. It only cluttered his hands with more things to carry. At least at the moment, he was only holding two. Only one of the two was bulky. Of course, that was the one for class.

By now, the directions to the Gryffindor tower were very familiar to him. He could get caught up in thought and not really have to think too hard on where he was going, other than obviously not crashing into students roaming the halls. It might have been a little sad, but Dominik didn't really have too many exciting friends to talk to in halls, so he could pretty much zone out and get by with a wave and smile at a passing acquaintance or room mate if need be.

The voice that brought him back to the chatter of the hallway and out of his own inner monologue was an unexpected voice. He recognized it, but really only associated it with one place. Dominik stopped walking suddenly, drawing the two books he was holding closer to his body. He was looking at who was clearly the transfiguration teacher -- Professor Adnan. There was no mistaking it, he was pretty sure no one else in this school wore a mask for any reason. Honestly the thing gave him the creeps. Though we was getting a smile from the older male, Dominik's in return was a bit halfhearted. "Hello Professor. What do you need to know where that is for?" Sure he wasn't a teacher and didn't know what they did, but he couldn't guess and never did things without knowing why. Plus, talking to teachers made him feel odd. "I thought that all the teachers knew where the common rooms were." He said it simply, giving him a look hinted with curiosity, like he expected an answer. He would have assumed that really was something important for teachers to know.

Dominik found himself focusing on other things than talking rather than his eyes. It might have come off a little weird. Or maybe the professor would take it as that the student in front of him was rather fond of his haircut or beard. "Professor Vargas did?" Since he was the head of Gryffindor, it made sense. Though, even as head, Professor Vargas had his own room somewhere away from the Gryffindor Tower. Maybe he was wrong. He had no reason to spend after hours in teachers rooms with them, so he never paid much attention to the matter. He wasn't that type of boy.

"Oh, right." What this professor was saying made no sense. If teachers were supposed to know where these things were, he would have already known and therefore not had to stalk a random Gryffindor student to get the information. He wasn't stupid. Dominik was most certainly looking at the teacher like he was a bit odd. "Do you just want me to take you there? I was walking there anyways to switch books." With that, he motioned to the two books in his hands by tilting his head to them.
