| Aldrich sat at his desk as the clocked ticked up to 8. He was due to meet a student for detention, though he still wasn't sure what he was going to do, probably make him mark papers? They were just basic multiple choice questions, it was mindless marking, and it was so boring that he really didn't want to do it and had put it off for a week. Yes, that would do nicely, wouldn't it?
He stood and found the papers in a file on the desk and placed them on the front of the desk, along with the marking scheme, a quill and some red ink. He really should get a ballpoint pen, they were far easier to use and cheaper, the muggles had certianly given them some useful things.
There was a knock on the door. That should be Lovino Vargas. "Come in." He called out.

| This detention was a long time in coming - Lovino had almost forgotten about it entirely. Which pissed him off because really, if you're going to assign a detention why not just get it out of the way as quickly as possible? But Beilschmidt had his own way of doing things and while he didn't approve, Lovino couldn't protest because teachers were the dictators.
Shaking his head, Lovino strode down the hallway to Aldrich's office. This really was a waste of time, but one that mattered, one that would be on his records from now until forever. And it rankled in him, because Lovino didn't like having marks on his record. He had none from his other school and he loathed getting them here. Lovino's knock on Aldrich's door was harder than it needed to be and felt like he had punched the door instead of knocked on it.
Going into the room, Lovino crossed his arms and suppressed a sneer. "What do you want me to be doing, sir?" He had almost wanted to leave the sir off entirely. But one had to show respect to people of a higher rank - at least until they proved that they didn't deserve that respect from him. Then he gleefully teared them to shreds.
