Flying Lessons (CLOSED)

"Ah." Ludwig said as she explained about her name. Something told him that she probably got in to trouble a lot, he thought, if this was what she's like all the time. "I'll just call you Mei." It was less of a mouthful anyway. "It's a nice name." He said politely. Mei was an interesting name. It was odd because she looked annoyed, hands on her hips and an slight glare, but it didn't suit her at all and served to make her look like a quite cute, a little like a doll. He couldn't help but smile a little. It certianly wasn't menacing, at least, however, he had a feeling that he still didn'y want to be on her bad side.

Ludwig was a little worried when he was forced to take off his shoes and socks but did so, as it was a.... fairly innocuous request. But then she asked him to frolick, oh no, he did not frolick, no matter how tense his shoulders alledgedly were. "No." He said flatly, "I don't frolick." He said flatly. He really didn't, he couldn't even imagine himself frolicking, it just wasn't him at all. But Mei had her heart set on frolicking in the flowers with him, so he ended up just jogging beside her as she skipped along.

He supposed it was quite a nice day, he would admit, and it was a good day to be outside to relax and exerscise a bit. He would like to play football later but he didn't know anypne here who would play with him.

Mei felt like something was missing in her frolic, like there was something in the atmosphere that didn't seem quite right. She wondered why since of course she was frolicking happy as can be. Then she looked over at Wig, he wasn't frolicking! Frowning, she abruptly stopped and stared at Wig.

Obviously, earlier, she had ignored his statement about not frolicking in the excitement that she was goingto get t frolic. Since he was serious about not frolicking, she': have to get serious as well.

"Wig, why aren't you frolicking?! Its not that hard and even I can do it! You put one leg in front of the other and you skip! Besides you have to experience frolicking sometime in your life without resorting to the frolicking charm~"

A slight hint o a threat came over her voice when she mentioned the frolicking charm, and she wondered idly, if she would really have to resort to it.

Ludwig was glad that Mei seemed perfectly happy, skipping alongside him. In fact, she seemed to be oblivious to everything that was happening around her. He quite liked the company but he didn't want to skip.

Then finally, she noticed how frozen he was. And turned to complain. He lifted an eyebrow. "I didn't know there was suck thing as a frolicking charm." Hopefully she was bluffing and he could call her out on it. He folded his arms, "I would look ridiculous if I skipped and runnng is much more beneficial to me." He argued, "You can frolic all you like but I will walk, thank you." He could be stubborn as a mule sometimes, "I don't see what's so special about skipping." He frowned.

She frowned mentally. Well honestly, there wasn't such a thing as a frolicking charm - but he didn't need to know that - she'd make one up eventually. There was however, something called a cheering charm she could slightly modify to meet her needs. She stared into his eyes, watching as he folded his arms. Huh, so he was going to have that attitude eh?

Mei's face split into a what could be considered evil grin, then quickly hiding it, she batted her eyes at Wig. "It's fun, and beneficial to your mental state! It's fun, like Spongebob! F is for friends who do stuff together, U is for you and me! N is for Anytime anywhere at all down here in the big blue sea~" While she was singing the song to her best of the ability, she checked to see if he was distracted sufficiently.

Seeing that he was still staring, she decided to go behind him and jump on his back. She took a running start, jumped as high as she could, and barely grabbed onto his shoulders. Making them tumble down, she quickly pointed her wand in his face, and yelled out a cheering charm.

Perhaps now he'd be more inclined to frolic with her.

The look Mei suddenly got was worrying. It was gone as soon as it came but he had seen it and it filled him with a certian sense of dread. "I am fine, physically and mentally." he said, blocking her out as she recited that infernal american cartoon that Gilbert seemed enamoured with.

Then he had attacked her. He liked to think he had fast reflexes but boy, she was fast, and strong he remembered. She jumped on to his back and he hit the ground with a slightly painful thud, making him wince.

She pointed her wand at him and suddenly he felt cheerful. all light and fluffy. Why didn't he want to frolic again?

A smile spread on Mei's face. Looking at Wig's euphoric face, she was satisfied that it worked. Though, it only lasted for 2-5 minutes, so she needed to act fast. She quickly pulled him up, smiling at how agreeable he was. She grabbed her camera out of her bag, put a very strong protection spell on it, and floated it over to the tree. It would take a picture at her command if nothing else got in the way of it. As nice as she was, having evidence for something like this wasn't bad to have, and it was proof of their friendship!

Smiling at Wig, she grabbed his hand and started to frolic in the fields once again. Along the way, she decided to sing the FUN song again. Looking at Wig, knowing the spell was due to wear off in a minute or so, she yelled, "Sing with me Wig! F is for friends who do stuff together, U is for you and me~ N is for anywhere and anytime at all here in the deep blue sea! F is for frolic through all the flowers! U is for ukulele, N is for nose picking, chewing gum and sand licking here with my best buddy!"

Somewhere off in the distance, a small camera click could be heard. A picture popping out of it of a short Taiwanese girl and a tall German boy, frolicking through the flowers and singing.

Suddenly, Ludwig got the urge to laugh, even though there wasn't even anything funny around. He just seemed all warm and tingly and the sky was so blue and the grass so green and tickly under his feet.

Mei (his best ever friend in the world right now) started singing and even though he didn't really know the song he tried his best to sing along with her, following her lead and skipping though the flowers. Wasn't everything just great today?

She had very soft hands, boy, he loved holding her hand and skipping like this! He finally lgave in to the urge and burst in to laughter, grinning like a maniac, picking up Mei and spinning her around.

Mei's smile grew larger, seeing Ludwig enjoy himself so much. This was good for his soul - from first impression, he had seemed like a very serious person that was either too afraid to loosen up, awkward about it, or just didn't know how. She was happy she had granted him the gift of these minutes to have him finally loosen up. His voice slurred as he tried to sing along, but it was okay since he probably didn't know the song as well as she did.

Suddenly, she felt herself being elevated, and heard a deep rumbling laughter. Her face was slightly above Wig's, and his grin, was, to be honest, a bit scary but endearing at the same time. She felt herself being spun around, and with his sturdy arms, she was free to laugh and giggle at her content.

Too bad the spell would wear off in a minute or so. Hopefully he would chuck her down onto the ground....maybe she'd cast a memory charm on him.

Somewhere, another click could be heard.

Ludwig was having the time of his life. It was so nice to have the time to be happy and free, nothing mattered. What did homework matter when there was pretty flowers and birds chirping in the trees? He placed Mei back on the ground and jumped on his heels excitedly.

Suddenly the happy feeling started to slip away. No, no, everything had to be good and happy and bright and it wasn't looking it any more! It wasn't fair! Then suddenly he was back to normal, turning to Mei and glaring darkly, mostly embarassed and getting angry as a reflex.

"...What did you do?"

The camera clicked one last time when Wig set her down and started jumping on his heels. Laughing, she had a pretty good idea that this was probably the end of his little happiness. Slowly, she started backing away, and then seeing the distraught look on his face, she had guessed right.

She backed away a good few feet, and then looked at him. The glare he had sent her was killer, and Mei knew she'd probably be running for her life. Well, she'd just have to reach the girl's dorms in the dungeons then she'd be safe. When he asked what she did, Mei just simply grinned sheepishly.

"Uh well, I helped you have FUN! And oh, look at the time, it was nice meeting you Wig! You're a very nice person, and you have a very nice smile, and I really have to run!"

Without waiting for his answer, she quickly turned around and ran like her life depended on it (which in reality, it probably did.) Quickly accio'ing her shoes, socks, camera and pictures over, she made sure she had all three of them before shoving them into her bag. She cast a quick protection spell over herself, and ran holding her shoes, as fast as she could into the castle.

She hadn't felt any sort of hex or curse hit her yet, so when she burst through the stone walls, and ran down into the dungeons, she was thankful to be alive. Sure, she had gotten some stares, glares from those she bumped into, but she was safe...

For now at least, now it was time to find a good hiding place for those pictures.

Ludwig's eye twitched; coming down from that high had put him in a very bad mood and he was blushing bright red with embarassment. All of that had really happened?

Sudden;y she ran, which was a very good idea because right now he was about to hex her in to oblivion. "MEI!" He yelled and bolted after her, waving his fist angrily. She might get away this time but she certianly would not win! He would not forgive her until he had gotten his revenge and after a lifetime of living with Gilbert, boy did he know how to get revenge...
