Accidents Happen [Zaman][Closed]

What was worse than causing an accident, was being the person who suffered from an accident that wasn't your fault. Zaman was walking along, without a care in the world, therefore not reading the sign that said "Take a different way due to an accident in one of the potions facilities. We are sorry for the inconvenience". So he continued walking along his normal route, random things popping in and out of his mind. And then, BANG!, the world turned upside down and his head hit the cold stone floor, robes and clothing wet with a mysterious blue liquid that was seeping out of the room he was currently next to. Voices twittered around inside, before someone finally noticed him and his aching, bleeding forehead.

Zaman noticed the liquid smelled like blueberries. After being severely chastised by one teacher, while the other one helped him up, he was dragged to the Hospital Wing. It was a bit of a blur for him, as he was only thinking about the blood dripping down his forehead and the smell of blueberries in his nose. He was set on a bed, while a nurse started giving him healing potions and wiping the mysterious liquid off his face. Whoever made such a mess in the middle of a hallway...was a jackass.

Zaman looked blearily at the person with the voice. A Slytherin. His mind slowly collected the information asked for, and Zaman grumbled his answer "Didn't read a sign. Slipped on some potion that was leaking into the hallway. Smells like blueberries." There, that should be enough information to satisfy the other. And as if the other kid didn't have enough information, he added "My head feels like fucking shit" A stream of Maldivian curse words promptly followed. "And my robes are drenched in whatever the hell it was" As if to prove his point, he took off his robe, which made a puddle on the floor, and then his shirt, which was also drenched in the liquid.

If one noticed carefully, a blue splotch was developing on Zaman's shoulder, of all places. He scrambled under the bedsheets, now cold. But he really didn't want the feeling of that liquid against his skin. It was bad enough with his pants wet with the liquid, he could live without anything on his top half.

"Yeah.." Zaman replied,pulling the sheets tight around him. He stared at the other student, before asking him what he was here for. It was a bit boring if you didn't have anyone to talk to, and here this person was, so why not strike up a conversation? He had a feeling he might be here for a while before the teachers came around to sort out any side effects of falling into a puddle of blue potion. Which still smelled like blueberries, oddly enough. It wasn't bad, just odd. The smell was rather nice.

Zaman looked at the spot on the other's arm curiously- it was the same color as the liquid he had fallen in. Pointing it out, he proceeded to ask if Lovino had also fallen in the pool of liquid. He felt a bit of relief knowing that it might not be just him who slipped on the potion and fell in. Though the Slytherin seemed a lot less damp than he was, which was strange, but Zaman simply chalked it up to luck.

"Lucky..." The younger boy said "It must be nice not being drenched" Not for a second did he consider that Lovino could be lying- what reason was there for him to lie? A lot, in fact. But Zaman hardly considered the possibilities in this situation. He proceeded to feel cold around his shoulder-neck area, so he snuggled further under the blankets, assuming that there was a window open in the room.

Zaman noticed the mirror and looked over at it curiously. There was a bit of blue on his neck. When he let the covers fall down a little, he could see more of it, all over his neck and shoulders. Pure, pristine, blue. He stared at his reflection, shocked at what he could see. Zaman didn't say anything, just stared and occasionally prodded the blue on his neck/shoulders. What sort of potion did he fall into? The blue areas started getting quite cold.

Zaman shivered, the spot becoming colder and colder. Zaman wasn't one for such temperatures, and he grit his teeth, unhappy that the rest of his body was good and warm, except for that spot. Hearing a noise from Lovino, Zaman looked over at him. The older student was staring at his blue patch with something Zaman would describe as a 'dastardly scowl' on his face. Looking at the other blue patch, he noticed the purple dots forming within it. Purple? He looked over his shoulder to see if the same thing was perhaps happening to him. Which, of course, it was. A tiny purple dot had formed on the edge of the blue splotch.

"What the...." He muttered, poking the dot. Damn, it was even colder than the blue splotches.

"What...?" Zaman watched the Slytherin get his shoes on and whatnot, acting like he had someplace to go. Which apparently he did, as he was told to come along with him to help at making some antidote or quick fix to the blue and purple splotching. Hesitantly, the Maldivian put on his now only slightly damp clothes before shuffling out of the bed, already missing it's warmth. "I'm not really good at Potions..." He admitted. He wasn't really good at many things, except maybe Defense Against the Dark Arts. But that wasn't Potions, and Potions was the only thing that would help.

"Right" He nodded, feeling thankful as his clothes started to dry, no doubt from the spell the Slytherin cast. "Test subject? Well...someone has got to do it, I guess." Even though he didn't really want it to be him "Just don't kill me." He added, only half joking. The voice in the back of his head sighed, and bet 30$ that Zaman would end up getting hurt in some way or form anyway.

"What are you going to do first?"

"Zaman Abasolo" He introduced himself. He was slightly reassured when the Slytherin said he wouldn't kill him. Some of the older guys in Gryffindor loved to scare the newbies with a few dazzling tales about Slytherin bullies and the like, so now he had some fodder to fight back with; a Slytherin having the chance to kill him with Potions but instead helping him. Yes, that'd be a marvelous tale.

After being given instructions, Zaman nodded, understanding his assigned task. Immediately he started to look, first for maybe a secret passage or the like, but that didn't work. Then he tried finding an out of the way corner, but all of those were occupied by couples making out. Finally, he just started looking into classrooms to find one that was empty. This seemed to have some results, as he found an empty classroom with no teacher nor students in it.

"Lovino Vargas." Ha! That just goes to show those idiots in Slytherin; not all Gryffindors were rude assholes would rather fight you than work with you. Lovino made sure that Zaman was doing what he was supposed to, before going off to get the things he needed.

He made sure to put a tracking spell on the kid before he left though. He did need to find him afterwards, and it would be easier to use a tracking spell now than the 'Point Me' spell thing later.
